Your records are yours
Import what you already have, and cancelling never deletes your data. Nothing about your flock is anyone else's asset.
AviLedger is record-keeping software for bird breeders, built and supported by Elcolynx, an independent software studio registered in South Africa.
A breeding record is not a spreadsheet problem. Hatch dates depend on species, a pairing decision depends on what is behind both birds, and a permit matters most on the day it expires. AviLedger holds all of it in one place, on the phone in your pocket in the birdroom and on the desktop where you plan.

It works offline, because signal in an aviary is not a given, and syncs when you are back in range.
Incubation periods, weaning weights and mutation inheritance differ by species, so the app treats them that way.
Support goes to admin@aviledger.com and reaches the people who build the app.
Elcolynx (registration number 2025/620159/07) is a private company registered in South Africa. AviLedger is its product.
Purchases on this website and in the Windows app are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Subscriptions bought inside the iOS or Android apps are processed by Apple or Google.

Taxonomy, families, orders and conservation status come from AviList v2025, the unified global bird checklist agreed between Clements/eBird, the IOC, BirdLife International and Howard & Moore. AviList is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
We have changed it in one way, on purpose: a checklist settles on one English name per species, and aviculture often uses another. A Rose-ringed Parakeet is an Indian Ringneck to the people keeping them. So the names breeders use are carried alongside the ones AviList settled on, and searching for either finds the bird.
CITES appendices come from the Checklist of CITES Species, compiled by UNEP-WCMC for the CITES Secretariat. Where a species has no record we say so rather than reading silence as "not listed".
Incubation periods, ring sizes and weaning weights are not in any checklist. Those are AviLedger's own, gathered with breeders, and shown only where we have them.
